Home Inventory
Inventory services will use technology to create an inventory
of possessions for our clients. It can be a simple overview or very detailed
depending on the customer's needs. Inventory services may be used to assist
families in the disposition of items. Inventory services are optional.
HomeMade Moves, LLC will pack all your personal belongings using professional
packing materials and we are responsible for the removal of all packing
materials after the move.
Items for shipping to others will be packed by us unless they are high value,
fragile or antiques. These items will be packed by professionals to ensure
their safe arrival at their destination. PODS can be utilized to pack and
ship larger quantities. HomeMade Moves, LLC will assist with all shipping and
storage. Charges for storage and shipping are extra.
Move Planning
A successful move begins with good planning. There will be scheduling of
services, notifications of change of address, final utility billing and
transfers, movers, packing days and decisions. HomeMade Moves, LLC is excited
about stepping into that environment and helping people cope with the moving
process. We will help reduce the stress for the client and their family. We
are sensitive to both the physical and emotional needs of our clients. Safety
in their home and continuation of ongoing services are paramount to the
client's well being and critical to the success of their transition.
Decisions about disposition of items belong to the client and or the Power of
Attorney. The client will also choose their mover and any other third party
providers for services.
With the client's permission family can be alerted via e-mail regarding the
progress and schedule of the move.
Sorting and Downsizing
Decisions about the disposition of items will be the clients. HomeMade Moves
will help the client with the physical and emotional work of downsizing. We
will be available for estimates, acquisitions, donations or auction. We will
advocate for our client and seek to ensure that the client is not taken
advantage of by any third party. To avoid the appearance of a conflict of
interest, HomeMade Moves, LLC does not accept incentives from any company we
recommend. At the end of this process the client will have what they need,
where they need it. If during this process there are items of special
interest to the client and they realize there will have to be a "letting
go," HomeMade Moves will create a digital image and memory book for our
clients.
Floor Planning
We will use computerized floor planning to help the client visualize their
belongings in the new setting. We will plan to have what the client needs and
uses with them in their new home. They will be surrounded by familiar and
treasured items.
Secure Shredding
Personal documents for disposal will be placed into locked containers and
securely shredded by a reliable company. Documentation of secure shredding
will be maintained in our office for a period of 3 years.
Service Transfers and Change of Address
All service transfers, notifications and phone calls will be made by HomeMade
Moves, LLC. We mail out the appropriate change of address forms and postal
notices. All these details of moving are taken care of without stress or
worry on you.
Arrange and Coordinate Movers
HomeMade Moves, LLC will arrange for the movers of your choice to do the
loading and unloading of belongings. We will make sure loading areas are
available as needed. Payment to movers is a separate charge payable directly
to them.
Prepare House for Sale
HomeMade Moves, LLC would be happy to help with getting the house ready for
sale. You may wish to hire a cleaning service or trash removal service.
HomeMade Moves, LLC will be happy to coordinate these details.
Moving Day
Moving day will bring about a lot of excitement and work to make sure our
client is settled into their new home at the end of the day. We will make the
bed, hang the pictures, set the clocks, check the phone and set up the
kitchen. Our HomeMade touch will be visible at the end of the day!

Relocation Services
Executive relocation services are designed for people whose busy schedules
leave no time for packing, moving and unpacking. You can go on vacation or a
business trip and return to your new home confident of everything being
exactly where you need it to be.
Our clients will be surrounded by the things they love and are familiar
with.
